1. Definitions

In these terms and conditions the following definitions apply:

  • Service Provider: Fix De Fiets, based in the Netherlands
  • Customer: The natural or legal person who uses our services
  • Services: All bike repair and maintenance services offered by the service provider
  • Agreement: The agreement concluded between service provider and customer

2. Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to all offers, quotes and agreements between the service provider and customer, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

By using our services, the customer accepts these conditions. Any purchase or other conditions of the customer are expressly rejected.

3. Our services

3.1 Mobile bike repair

We offer professional mobile bike repair services at home or at the office. Our services include:

  • General bike repairs
  • Maintenance and tune-ups
  • Tire changes and repairs
  • Brake repairs and adjustments
  • Gear and shifting repairs
  • Bike assembly

3.2 Service area

Our services are available throughout the Netherlands. Specific service areas and any travel costs are communicated when booking.

4. Making and canceling appointments

4.1 Booking

Appointments can be made via:

  • Our website
  • Phone contact
  • Email

4.2 Confirmation

Every appointment is confirmed via email or phone. The agreement is concluded through this confirmation.

4.3 Cancellation by customer

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the appointment
  • Cancellation within 24 hours: 50% of the service rate
  • Cancellation within 2 hours or no-show: 100% of the service rate

4.4 Cancellation by service provider

We reserve the right to cancel appointments due to:

  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Mechanic illness
  • Force majeure

In this case, no cancellation fee will be charged.

5. Prices and payment

5.1 Prices

All prices include VAT, unless stated otherwise. Our current rates are available on our website. Prices may be changed without prior notice.

5.2 Cost estimate

For more complex repairs, a cost estimate is given in advance. Work that exceeds the estimate by more than 20% will only be carried out after customer approval.

5.3 Payment

  • Payment is made immediately after completion of the service
  • Payment is possible via pin, credit card, or cash
  • Payment terms are possible for business customers after prior arrangement

5.4 Travel costs

Within a radius of 10 km there are no travel costs. For greater distances the following rates apply:

  • 10-25 km: €10 travel costs
  • 25-50 km: €20 travel costs
  • More than 50 km: on request

6. Execution of services

6.1 Professional execution

All work is carried out by qualified mechanics according to professional standards.

6.2 Parts

  • We only use quality parts
  • Old parts are given on request
  • For parts, the manufacturer's warranty conditions apply

6.3 Access and safety

The customer provides safe access to the location and a suitable workplace. We are not liable for damage due to unsafe working conditions beyond our control.

7. Warranty

7.1 Work warranty

We provide 6 months warranty on all work performed against manufacturing and material defects.

7.2 Parts warranty

For supplied parts, the factory warranty applies, minimum 3 months.

7.3 Warranty exclusion

Warranty expires in case of:

  • Improper use
  • Repairs by third parties
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage due to accident or vandalism

8. Liability

8.1 Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid by our insurance, with a maximum of the invoice amount of the relevant assignment.

8.2 Exclusion of liability

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect damage
  • Consequential damage
  • Business damage
  • Lost savings

8.3 Time limit

Claims for compensation must be reported in writing within 3 months of discovery.

9. Complaints

9.1 Complaints procedure

Complaints can be submitted via:

Complaints are confirmed within 5 business days and handled within 14 days. For more complex complaints, this term may be extended to a maximum of 6 weeks.

10. Retention of title

Supplied parts remain the property of the service provider until full payment has been made.

11. Privacy and data protection

For the processing of your personal data, we refer to our Privacy Policy.

12. Force majeure

In case of force majeure, both parties are not obliged to fulfill their obligations. Force majeure includes:

  • Natural disasters
  • War and terrorism
  • Pandemics
  • Strikes
  • Government measures

13. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights to our website, materials and documents belong to the service provider.

14. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to change these terms. Changes take effect 30 days after publication on our website or after written notice.

15. Final provisions

15.1 Applicable law

Dutch law applies to this agreement.

15.2 Disputes

All disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

15.3 Nullity

If a provision of these terms proves to be null or voidable, the other provisions remain fully in force.
